ReThink 2026 is a conference for anyone who wants to find their bearings in an age of constant change and ever-smarter machines.
AI is reshaping the environment we work and live in. It puts new pressure on the way we think, decide and learn. Critical thinking today isn’t only about arguing and communicating. It is also about knowing how much of our creating, thinking and planning we hand over to technology. And what price we pay for it.
ReThink 2026 is a space for people from HR, education, business and management. And for a curious general public that wants to think well in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligences.
RETHINK 2026 CONFERENCE THEMES
METACOGNITION
how we think about
thinking
Before we learn to work better with artificial intelligence, we need to understand our own thinking better. Together we'll look at how we make decisions, sort our thoughts and cultivate judgement in an age when entering prompts is not enough. We also have to distinguish what is genuinely valuable and true.
EDUCATION
how the generation of the hybrid world is growing up
Today's children are the first generation learning to think in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence from an early age. We'll be looking for answers to the question of how to develop critical thinking, creativity and healthy habits in a world where the very way we learn is changing before our eyes.
BUSINESS
how companies are coming to terms with the new reality
Artificial intelligence is changing the way we work faster than corporate processes can keep up. Leaders of large organisations will speak openly about what worked when introducing AI, what failed, and how companies are learning to handle the frustrations, opportunities and uncertainties this change brings.

Finding meaning at a time when almost nothing stays the same is an ever-greater challenge. Petr Ludwig explores this theme in his latest book, From Chaos to Meaning. In his opening remarks he’ll walk us through his findings and through the latest developments in autonomous AI agents, which have become his new passion.

What does the basic “mental hygiene” of three wise women look like? How do they guard what they let into their heads and what they’d rather keep out? When do they feel they have enough information to make a decision? Martin Poliačik, one of the founders of AKM, will discuss this and much more with the guests of the first panel.

Hybrid intelligence is an approach to working with AI that produces an output better than a person would achieve alone and better than AI would generate on its own. The BRAINDOJOS project set out to build accessible, easy-to-grasp and practical tools for exactly this kind of work.

Today’s children are growing up in an environment where artificial intelligence can no longer be avoided. It’s part of the algorithms behind social networks, games, messaging apps and learning tools. Their parents and their teachers have to come to terms with this new reality alongside them. How do we make sure new technologies don’t harm children, and instead let them live full and meaningful lives? We’ll discuss this with the Minister of Education, a secondary-school head and a mentor of teachers.

Metacognition as a superpower in the age of AI
Anne-Laure Le Cunff
Stopping to examine what's going on in our heads… (read more)
Stopping to examine what is going on in our heads and how we can influence it is becoming a daily necessity. Artificial intelligence keeps putting us in situations where plain common sense isn’t enough. Alongside her strikingly fresh take on topics such as goal-setting and the search for meaning, Anne-Laure Le Cunff explores metacognition: the ability to critically observe and change our thinking about thinking. And she presents it in a way you can actually put to use in everyday life.

How are companies and organisations coming to terms with AI?

Under pressure to raise productivity and cut costs, companies and organisations are in a very difficult position. Technology is changing so fast that traditional implementation processes are breaking down. Companies are adopting a start-up mentality and trying out the hottest new tools at least as pilot programmes, so as not to lose touch with reality altogether. How are they getting on, where have they been burnt, and what looks like it might actually work? We’ll talk it through in a panel with representatives of our clients and partners.

Artificial intelligence makes mistakes too, especially when it’s trained on poor-quality data. Finding duplicates and potential sources of trouble in that data takes a particular kind of attention, focus and eye for detail. These are qualities often found in people on the autistic spectrum. Diversight, the company Irena Zatloukalová co-founded and runs, provides exactly this service to the AI-products market and in doing so shows a way to reduce the isolation of neurodivergent people.

FAQ
Got questions? We’ve answered the most common ones below. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch at konferencia@kritickemyslenie.sk.
Who is the conference for?
The conference is for anyone interested in critical thinking, decision-making, education, technology and the future of work. Managers, HR professionals, entrepreneurs, teachers, students and the general public will all find something for them.
Do I need experience with AI?
Nie. Konferencia nie je technickým podujatím pre AI expertov. Je určená každému, kto chce lepšie porozumieť tomu, ako umelá inteligencia ovplyvňuje spôsob, akým pracujeme, učíme sa a premýšľame.
What language will the conference be in?
Most of the programme will be in Slovak or Czech. The keynote will be in English. Interpreting between Slovak and English will be provided in both directions throughout the conference.
What's the difference between a BASIC and a VIP ticket?
A BASIC ticket includes admission to the full conference programme. A VIP ticket additionally gives you access to the evening networking from 21:00 to 00:00, including catering and the chance to meet the speakers, partners and other guests in an informal setting.
Will tickets be available at the door?
No. Capacity is limited and admission will only be possible for pre-registered attendees with a valid ticket. We recommend securing your place early so you don’t miss out.
Why should I come to ReThink 2026?
Because the question is no longer whether artificial intelligence will change the way we work and learn. The question is how to prepare for that change without losing what matters most — the ability to think for ourselves, to make our own decisions and to understand the world around us. ReThink 2026 brings you the perspectives of people who are not just watching these changes, but actively shaping them.
Keep the conversation going after the conference ends
The most interesting discussions often don’t start on stage. They start once the programme is over. The VIP evening opens up space for informal networking with speakers, partners and fellow attendees in the unique setting of the Jurkovičova Tepláreň. From 21:00 until midnight there’ll be catering, new contacts and the conversations there simply isn’t time for during the main programme.
